IMPORTANT: Please read this policy carefully before completing your purchase. By placing an order on www.orfebre.com, you acknowledge and accept all terms outlined in this Shipping Policy.
At EL ORFEBRE INC., we are committed to delivering your orders safely and efficiently. This policy outlines our shipping procedures, estimated timelines, and responsibilities. It must be read in conjunction with our general Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
1. CARRIERS
We ship using trusted and internationally recognized carriers, including:
• USPS (United States Postal Service)
• FedEx
• UPS
• DHL
The selected carrier may vary depending on destination, package size, availability, and shipping method. EL ORFEBRE INC. reserves the right to select the most appropriate carrier for each shipment at its sole discretion.
2. PROCESSING TIME
Shipping timelines are separate from and in addition to production timelines. All pieces are made to order. The estimated production time is four (4) to eight (8) calendar weeks from confirmed payment and design approval.
Shipping is arranged only after the piece has been completed and the full balance has been paid. EL ORFEBRE INC. does not ship partially paid orders under any circumstance.
Once the order is ready to ship, processing and packaging typically takes one (1) to three (3) business days before handoff to the carrier.
3. ORDER TRACKING
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via the email address provided at checkout. You may track your package in real time through the carrier's official tracking system.
It is the customer's responsibility to monitor the tracking information and ensure availability at the delivery address. EL ORFEBRE INC. is not responsible for packages that are not collected or received due to the customer's absence or inaction.
4. TRANSFER OF SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY
Once the package has been delivered to the carrier and a tracking number has been issued, full responsibility for the shipment transfers to the customer and the carrier.
EL ORFEBRE INC. is not responsible for:
• Delays caused by the carrier, customs, or third-party logistics providers.
• Loss, theft, or damage occurring after the package has been accepted by the carrier.
• Delivery failures caused by incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the customer.
• Packages held, seized, or delayed by customs or import authorities at the destination.
EL ORFEBRE INC. will provide reasonable assistance to help the customer initiate a claim with the carrier. However, the outcome of any such claim is exclusively dependent on the carrier's investigation and policies.
5. INSURED SHIPMENTS
EL ORFEBRE INC. ships all orders with standard carrier insurance where available. For high-value pieces, additional insurance may be recommended or required. Any additional insurance cost will be communicated to the customer prior to shipment.
If a shipment is lost or damaged and insurance was not purchased or was declined by the customer, EL ORFEBRE INC. assumes no financial responsibility for the value of the lost or damaged piece beyond what the carrier's standard coverage provides.
6. LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
If your order is lost in transit or arrives visibly damaged, you must notify EL ORFEBRE INC. immediately by emailing servicio@orfebre.com — no later than two (2) calendar days after the carrier's confirmed or expected delivery date.
To initiate a claim, the customer must provide:
• Order number and tracking information.
• Clear photographs of the damaged packaging and/or item (if applicable).
• A written description of the issue.
EL ORFEBRE INC. will assist in initiating a claim with the carrier. Any compensation or replacement is subject exclusively to the outcome of the carrier's investigation. EL ORFEBRE INC. does not guarantee replacements or refunds for packages lost or damaged during transit unless the carrier confirms liability and issues compensation.
7. SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected shipping method. All shipping costs are strictly non-refundable under any circumstance, including:
• Orders returned by the customer.
• Orders refused at delivery.
• Orders returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
• Orders that could not be delivered due to the customer's absence.
Return shipping costs, when applicable, are the sole responsibility of the customer. EL ORFEBRE INC. does not provide prepaid return labels.
8. INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS & CUSTOMS
EL ORFEBRE INC. ships to Puerto Rico and the continental United States. International shipments outside the United States may be arranged on a case-by-case basis at the company's discretion.
For any shipment outside of Puerto Rico, the customer is solely and exclusively responsible for:
• All import taxes, customs duties, tariffs, and any other government-imposed fees at the destination.
• Compliance with all applicable import regulations of the destination country or state.
• Any delays caused by customs processing or inspection.
EL ORFEBRE INC. does not pre-calculate, advance, or cover any customs or import-related charges. A package held or delayed in customs does not constitute valid grounds for a refund, cancellation, or dispute.
The customer is responsible for researching and understanding the customs regulations applicable to their destination before placing an order.
9. HIGH-SEASON & EXTERNAL DELAYS
During high-demand periods — including but not limited to holidays, special promotions, carrier volume surges, or external disruptions such as natural disasters or public health emergencies — shipping times may be extended beyond standard estimates.
Delays caused by the carrier or external circumstances do not constitute valid grounds for order cancellation, refund, or dispute. EL ORFEBRE INC. is not liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damages arising from carrier delays.
10. INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE ADDRESS
It is the customer's sole responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address at the time of purchase. EL ORFEBRE INC. ships to the address provided by the customer without modification.
EL ORFEBRE INC. is not responsible for:
• Packages returned to sender due to an incorrect or incomplete address.
• Packages delivered to a wrong address due to an error made by the customer.
• Delays or additional costs arising from address corrections or reshipment.
If a package is returned to EL ORFEBRE INC. due to an address error provided by the customer, the customer must cover all additional shipping costs required to reship the package. EL ORFEBRE INC. will not reship the package until the additional shipping fee is paid in full.
11. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Once the carrier's tracking system confirms successful delivery to the address provided by the customer, the order will be considered fully delivered and fulfilled. EL ORFEBRE INC. assumes no further responsibility after confirmed delivery.
EL ORFEBRE INC. will not accept claims of non-delivery when the carrier's tracking system shows confirmed delivery. If the customer believes a package was stolen after confirmed delivery, they must file a report with local authorities and contact the carrier directly.
12. GOVERNING LAW
This Shipping Policy and all related transactions shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, United States. Any dispute arising under this policy shall follow the resolution process outlined in EL ORFEBRE INC.'s Terms of Service.
13. MODIFICATIONS
EL ORFEBRE INC. reserves the right to update or modify this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. The current version published on www.orfebre.com shall govern all transactions from the date of publication.
